Rundown segregated areas

Reduced to or fallen into partial ruin or decay, rundown areas are most generally a conseauence from age, wear, or neglect. As a result, living conditions are below standard and actions need to be made to ensure the area will be safe and livable. Moreover, efforts must be done to ensure affordability and services that are accessible to all residents. Highly segregated areas differ from ’normal’ city neighbourhoods regarding their one-sided social structure (’ghettoes’ of the poor or conglomerates of the rich).
